Darren Beck has been named Chief Executive Officer of Business Insurance Now, the nation's leading online source for small business insurance quotes . He will also serve as a member of the Board of Directors. The announcement was made today by James Madden, Chairman of the Board.
Previously, Beck was Chief Marketing Officer of Tree.com, Inc., parent company of the popular LendingTree online loan marketplace. During his tenure with the company, Beck built out a world-class online and offline marketing organization and led LendingTree through a successful rebranding initiative, national television advertising campaign, and marketing expansion into multiple new business verticals.
"Business Insurance Now required a CEO with acute understanding of the difficulties faced by most small businesses in today's freelance economy," said Madden. Darren's leadership, innovative marketing techniques, and business insurance acumen are an ideal match for Business Insurance Now's clients, carriers and employees."
Prior to LendingTree, Beck served in marketing roles across a variety of industries for companies like Capital One Financial, catalog retailer Jackson & Perkins, management training firm Covey Leadership Center, and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
"Business Insurance Now has an extraordinary opportunity to shift the online commercial insurance (http://www.businessinsurancenow.com/business-liability-insurance.aspx) buying paradigm for small businesses," said Beck. "I look forward to joining the dedicated team at Business Insurance Now in building a world-class organization that creates value for both our clients and carrier partners far beyond the traditional insurance distribution models."
Beck received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an MBA from Brigham Young University. About Business Insurance Now Business Insurance Now is the leading online commercial insurance agency for small businesses. These companies are often ignored by traditional insurance agencies that lack the people, process, and technology to efficiently process small policies. As a result, many small businesses struggle to find insurance in line with their underlying risk profile, and often end up with mispriced and / or inadequate coverage. Many professions require proof of coverage (typically professional liability insurance (http://www.businessinsurancenow.com/professional_liability.aspx), errors & omissions, and general liability) to contract for work. Business Insurance Now has relationships with leading A-rated insurance carriers, and its proprietary technology platform allows small businesses to bind insurance coverage in minutes rather than the days a traditional process can take.
