BANK OF BEIJING TAKES FOUR BOARD POSITIONS IN ING LIFE INSURANCE

BEIJING - Four senior managers from the Bank of Beijing (BoB) (SSE:601169) have been appointed board directors of the ING Life Insurance, taking half of the board director positions of ING Life Insurance, according to a recent announcement by the China Insurance Regulatory Commission.

The BoB acquired 50 per cent of the equity of ING Life insurance from the Capital Group in this February.

BEIJING - Ping An Insurance (SSE:601318), one of China's insurance giants, on July 20 posted premiums income up 32.94 per cent year on year to 123.1 billion yuan in the first half of 2010.

In June, Ping An Insurance's premium income came to 18.6 billion yuan, up 19.64 per cent year on year but down 2.3 per cent month on month.
