Ping An Property and Casualty Unit Names New CEO

Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Limited (SHSE: 601318 and SEHK: 2318) announced yesterday that Sun Jianping had been promoted to chairman and chief executive officer for its properties and casualty division.
The appointment of Mr. Sun gained go-ahead from the board of directors of the Ping An properties and casualty division on December 1, said the Beijing-based company. Mr. Sun currently serves as managing deputy general manager for the Ping An properties and casualty division.
Mr. Sun is appointed to take the place of Ren Huichuan, who is set to serve as general manager for Ping An Insurance (Group) next year. Mr. Ren will act as director of the Ping An properties and casualty division while presenting as Ping An Insurance (Group) general manager.
