PICC Reaped CNY 290.74bn Total Revenue 2011

According to the latest data released by The People's Insurance Company (Group) Of China Limited (PICC), the group reaped CNY 290.74 billion total revenue as of the end of 2011, up 9.8% year on year.

The insurer in 2011 harvested CNY 248.41 billion premium income, rising by 8.5% year on year. Its total assets in the period came at CNY 585.6 billion, growing by 32.7% from 2010. Meanwhile, the company in 2011 saw CNY 1.2 trillion assets under management, the first time for the insurer to see more than CNY 1 trillion assets under management. In 2011, PICC hit a new high in terms of total profit and underwriting income.

PICC president highlighted that the group would unswervingly carry out restructuring and innovation so as to strive to make new breakthroughs while constructing a mechanism for sustainable development.
