Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd., Bermuda, provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, announced today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $ 0.25 per common share and $ 0.484375 per share payable on its 7.75% Non-Cumulative Preferred Shares, Series A. Endurance The dividend on common shares outstanding will be payable March 31, 2009 to shareholders of record on 17 March 2009 and the dividend of endurance on the Preferred Shares Series A will be payable on 16 March 2009 to a series of Preferred Shares of record on March 6 2009.
The board also authorized the continuation of its share repurchase program for another two years, until 13 May 2011. Endurance of the current share repurchase program has remaining authority to repurchase up to 5565322 shares in the market or privately negotiated transactions from time to time, depending on market conditions.
