Cigna To Reaffirm 2009 Profit Outlook

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said it will reaffirm its outlook for consolidated adjusted income from operations between $1.02 billion and $1.08 billion. The outlook is unchanged from April.
It expects adjusted earnings-per-share between $3.70 and $3.90, while analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect profit of $3.74 per share.
Shares of Cigna rose $1.16, or 5.2 percent, to $23.33 in morning trading. Shares have traded between $8 and $44.14 over the past 52 weeks.
