"We're proud to provide a service that helps people obtain the right health insurance coverage. After all, it is our company's mission," said Brandon Cruz, President and CTO of Norvax, Inc., the parent company of GoHealthInsurance.com. "Our surveys are an important part of our feedback process to continually improve our service."
Overall, consumers were highly satisfied with the process on GoHealth Insurance. When asked their impression of the service, over two-thirds of consumers (67.45%) responded that the process for finding coverage was very easy on the website.
As more people start to use the Internet as their main medium for health insurance shopping, ease-of-use will be a vital factor in finding the right coverage. After all, 90% of all individual health insurance plans will be purchased partly or entirely on the web by 2011, predicts Celent Research Services.
Many visitors to GoHealthInsurance.com were also able to find a plan that fits their benefit needs and cost constraints. Almost a third of shoppers (32.74%) who requested free health insurance quotes through the service were able to find and purchase a health plan through the service.
Those who did find a plan were also pleasantly surprised at the savings. A vast majority of customers (81.32%) thought the price of the plan they found with GoHealth Insurance met or beat the price they expected.
"This consumer data really proves the value of a comparison shopping platform for health insurance," said Cruz.
Many of the survey respondents provided comments about the service at GoHealthInsurance.com. Names were not included in this article to protect the privacy of GoHealth Insurance customers.
"The service was a positive promotion of plans from reputable companies; the comparison feature is excellent."
"I had been online for four hours comparing plans on my own until I clicked onto your website. From there it was a breeze!"
"The service was all point and click."
"Both my husband and I are self employed with teenage quadruplets, it was important to shop health insurance because our other plan went up $100 per month. I found a plan that was tailor made for us and our athletic children, saving $200 per month!"
"I had no idea this would be so easy. I would have cancelled COBRA long before. This was a nice service."
"GoHealth called me almost immediately and connected me to an agent who made finding a plan and walking me through the policies and terminology unbelievably painless."
"I told my dad about it and he went there immediately and got health insurance too. It was a very easy process. I ended up saving $100 on the plan I went with compared to the one I was going to go with."
The survey was conducted online and includes responses from 1,014 adults who went online to shop for health insurance at GoHealthInsurance.com. Through this service, consumers can view instant health insurance quotes online, speak with licensed local agents, and complete an online application.
