A.M. Best Withdraws Ratings of Four Former Subsidiaries of Aetna Inc. Following Affiliate Merger

Concurrently, A.M. Best has assigned an NR-5 (Not Formally Followed) to the FSRs and an "nr" to the ICRs of the four former subsidiaries of Aetna Inc.
Effective June 30, 2009, the four former Aetna Inc. subsidiaries were merged into Aetna Health Inc. (a Pennsylvania corporation) (Blue Bell, PA). The FSR of A (Excellent) and ICR of "a+" of Aetna Health Inc. (a Pennsylvania corporation) are unchanged by this transaction.
