SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Californians in search of affordable individual or family dental coverage now have two new options available from Delta Dental of California.
The state's largest dental plan today unveiled two updated options under its DeltaCare® USA Individual and Family Program. The revamped HMO dental plans include procedures previously not covered and define copayments for a wider range of benefits, including orthodontics for adults and children.
The changes are designed to help offset additional dental care costs and keep individual and family plan premiums affordable, said Belinda Martinez, Delta Dental's senior vice president of Marketing. Most important, these plans give people without employer-sponsored coverage the same type and range of services they would have under a group plan, including no or low copayments for most preventive and diagnostic care.
Upon enrolling in DeltaCare USA, enrollees choose a primary care dentist from a specified network. Both plan options feature no deductibles or benefit maximums.
Enrollment in the DeltaCare USA Individual and Family Program is available by visiting www.deltadentalins.com, by calling (800) 422-4234 between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. Pacific time, Monday through Friday, or through a broker. Visitors to Delta Dental's web site can access a complete set of tools to learn about the program, including costs, benefits, limitations and exclusions, and which DeltaCare USA dentists throughout the state are available to them.
Delta Dental of California is part of a holding company system that includes Delta Dental of Pennsylvania, Delta Dental Insurance Company and affiliated companies in 15 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Together, the companies cover 24 million people nationwide. They are all part of the nationwide Delta Dental Plans Association, whose member companies collectively serve 54 million of the estimated 176 million people nationwide with dental benefits.
