The association is extremely proud to announce that Todd Associates, Inc. will carry our official endorsement. Todd Associates is widely recognized as a leader in providing critical errors and omissions services to the life settlement industry," remarked Doug Head, LISA Executive Director. "In a time of dramatic and complex changes for our industry, Todd Associates brings a wealth of experience as an insurance broker with a comprehensive understanding of this evolving secondary market. We're honored to endorse this member in good standing."
The announcement marks the first such official endorsement by LISA, the oldest and largest membership organization in the settlement industry. A Life Settlement is the sale of an existing life insurance policy to a third party for more than its cash surrender value but less than its net death benefit. Life settlement transactions represent a growing secondary market for life insurance offering consumers a lucrative alternative to the lapse or surrender of their insurance policies. Currently, life settlements are regulated in states representing over 76% of the U.S. population. It is expected that by 2010, over 90% of the American public will live in states regulating life settlements.
