Delta Life Women?s College Handball begins today

The 13th Delta Life Women?s College Handball Tournament began at the Handball Stadium here today (Sunday) with Holy Cross College making a good start beating Central Women?s College 3-1 in a low scoring opening match.

The match was locked 1-1 during the first half.

Chairman of the tournament?s sponsor Delta Life Insurance Company Limited Syed Moazzem Hossain inaugurated the meet as chief guest while Managing Director of Delta Life Insurance Company Das Dev Prasad was the special guest.

Chaired by Bangladesh Handball Federation president AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul, the function was also attended by Federation Vice-President cum Tournament Committee chairman Quamrunnahar Dana and Federation general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor.

In the day?s other matches, Viqarunnissa Noon School & College crushed Central Women?s College by 22-1 goals (first half 12-0); Eden Girls College (Junior) defeated Dhaka Imperial College 6-1 (first half 4-0); Holy Cross College beat Home Economics College 3-2 (first half 2-1); Siddheswari Girls College drubbed Dhaka Imperial College 12-0 (first half 3-0) while Eden Girls College trounced Ispahani Girls College 16-1 (first half 9-1).
