Ping An of China 2010 Life Premium Topped CNY150bn

Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd. (SHSE: 601318, SEHK: 2318) recorded more than CNY 150 billion in premiums from life insurance in 2010, and the premiums from personal insurance increased by over 40 percent year on year, according to the latest internal publications.
The insurance company brought in more than CNY 60 billion premium revenues from property insurance last year, leaping by 58.3 percent from a year ago.
Ping An of China pulled in CNY 207.935 billion premium income in the first eleven months of 2010. The income from life insurance, property insurance, health insurance and endowment insurance came to CNY 147.558 billion, CNY 55.553 billion, CNY 168 million and CNY 4.655 billion respectively, in terms of an earlier announcement.
The financial group stated in November 2010 that its three major holding subsidiaries raked in about CNY 190 billion in original premium revenues in the first ten months, expanding by 30.47 percent over the period of last year.
