Taikang Life Insurance Company Limited predicts its 2010 after-tax profit would come to CNY 2.1 billion and solvency would stand at 170 percent.
The insurer's bright results indicate that the company brought in CNY 86.8 billion in premium last year, leaping by 29 percent over a year earlier.
The company has not disclosed the exact comprehensive investment return rate but the indicator maintains the leading position in the sector.
Taikang Life Insurance last year was said to go public on the Chinese stock market. As a matter of fact, the company had such the plan as early as 2007 but that was put off due to the global financial meltdown in 2008.
The China Insurance Regulatory Commission officials said that the country's Insurance premium was forecast at CNY 1.47 trillion last year, expanding by 33 percent over the previous year.
The property insurance premium and life insurance premium for the entire 2010 were estimated to be CNY 389.4 billion and CNY 1.08 trillion, and the two figures went up by 35 percent and 31 percent over a year ago separately.
