Catlin reaches agreement to extend the aviation business in the United States

ATLANTA
Catlin Group Ltd said W. Brown & Associates Insurance Services insurance coverage for general aviation Catlin U.S. customers from April 1.
W. Brown & Associates, Irvine, California, is one of the largest underwriting managers in the United States to specialize in aviation insurance. Its products are offered through a network of over 800 independent agents and brokers.
W. Brown & Associates write hull, liability, product liability of aircraft, airport liability, on the ground, accountability and non-owned aircraft liability on behalf of Catlin Insurance Co.
"This agreement is a milestone in the development of Catlin U.S. and our strategy to increase the volume of specialty of the company with which the Catlin Group (LSE: CGL) has an expertise," Richard S. Banas, president and chief executive officer of Catlin U.S., said in a statement.
Catlin Group is an international aviation and aerospace insurer and reinsurer, aerospace related gross premium volume of $ 400 million in 2008. Catlin currently subscribed insurance general aviation from offices in London, continental Europe, Guernsey, Canada, Asia and Australia.
Last week, he said Catlin Group said accident reinsurance optional Catlin U.S. to its portfolio (BestWire 30 January 2009).
Catlin Group is a Bermuda based holding company on 25 June, 1999. Through its subsidiaries, agreed Catlin specialty classes of insurance and reinsurance worldwide. Depending on the credit report AMB, Catlin Group consists of four platforms subscription: the Catlin Syndicate (Syndicate 2003), which operates at Lloyd's, Catlin Bermuda (Catlin Insurance Co.); Catlin UK (Catlin Insurance Co. (UK) Ltd) and Catlin U.S., which is the name of Catlin various subsidiaries in the United States.
Catlin plans to release its fourth quarter results on February 12.
Catlin U.S. includes Catlin Insurance Co. Inc. Catlin Specialty Insurance Co. Inc, which currently have the Best Financial Strength Ratings of A (Excellent).
