Couple in court the insurer to claim unpaid Hurricane



A Texas couple has filed a lawsuit against Farmers Insurance Texas and eight of its experts alleging that the defendants did not properly manage their applications after Hurricane Humberto damaged their home.

According to the filed in District Court of Jefferson County, Humberto damaged the home of John and Tammie Charge Sept. 13, 2007. Texas Farmers denied coverage for damages and gave no reason for his decision.

The prosecution contends that Texas farmers are responsible for the breach of contract and violations of Texas insurance laws. The lawsuit alleges that the adjusters are responsible for the fraud law.
