HARTFORD, legislators will ask Conn._Connecticut an executive of American International Group Inc, the insurer awarded $ 165 million in premiums rescue after receiving federal money.
The legislature of the Banking Committee for a hearing Thursday afternoon and plans to question Stephen Blake, head of human resources for the AIG financial products division in Wilton, Connecticut
The legislature has addressed the issue because the officials in New York, AIG say they paid premiums in part because of a law in Connecticut. This law allows employees to sue for twice the amount of wages owed by contract and attorneys' fees, if the employer refuses to pay.
Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said AIG was wrong to invoke wage laws of Connecticut and justify the bonus.
