Devin Haughey recently joined DeCotis Insurance Associates Inc. as its chief operations manager.
He is responsible for the general management and operations of the company.
Prior to joining DeCotis, Haughey served as vice president, operations manager of The Keating Group, an insurance agency where he was responsible for the firm’s day-to-day operations.
He is a licensed property and casualty and excess and surplus insurance broker/notary public with more than 15 years of commercial and personal lines insurance experience.
He has established and controlled a Massachusetts-based property and casualty insurance agency implementing all policies, procedures and strategies for business development while assuring the overall growth and profitability of the organization.
He also previously served as assistant vice president of Eastern Insurance Group, one of the largest independently owned retail insurance agencies in Massachusetts.
Haughey earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Nichols College in Dudley. He resides in Milford with his wife and two children.
DeCotis is a wholly owned independent excess, surplus and specialty lines firm with offices in Providence, R.I., and Braintree.
Benchmark Assisted Living in Wellesley recently appointed Stephanie Handelson of Waltham as chief operating officer.
Handelson will hold primary responsibility for all daily operations at the 44 senior living communities Benchmark operates in six states.
Prior to joining Benchmark, Handelson served as senior vice president of East Coast operations for Sunrise Assisted Living, overseeing operations and financial management for more than 200 senior living communities in the eastern United States.
In addition to 10 years as an executive with Sunrise, Handelson has hospitality and sales management-related experience.
She received a master of business administration from Dowling College and a bachelor of professional studies in hospitality management, summa cum laude, from the New York Institute of Technology.
Karen Scopetski, a realtor and vice president in the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Northborough, recently received the Coldwell Banker International President’s Circle award.
This honor is awarded to the top two percent of the approximately 108,000 sales associates worldwide in the Coldwell Banker system.
In addition, Rick Loughlin, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage New England, recognized Scopetski for her ranking of number 44 among all Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage sales associates in Massachusetts.
She resides in Northborough.
