Nicholas Griffin, chief financial officer of United Insurance Holdings Corp., resigned from the company.
Griffin is stepping down to pursue another opportunity, United Insurance, based in St. Petersburg, said in a release.
Griffin said in the release said that decision to leave does not reflect negatively on United Insurance (OTCBB: UIHC), a property and casualty company that was founded in 1999 and went public in October as a result of a reverse merger.
Griffin resigned effective June 5 but will remain with the company through mid-July to assist in the transition of his duties, the release said.
United Insurance said it would immediately begin a search for a successor.
United Insurance primarily underwrites homeowners insurance in Florida.
