Copart Adds second facility in South Carolina

Copart, Inc. announced the opening of a new facility in Greer, South Carolina. This latest addition to Copart growing footprint marks the company of the second plant in South Carolina and the installation of the 147th in the world.
Copart CEO and Founder Willis J. Johnson said the 22-acre greenfield site will be the northwest corner of the state, decrease cycle times and reduce fuel costs and storage for clients.
"This new facility allows us to be closer to our customers in another part of South Carolina and expand our footprint. This is just another way legendary Copart continues to provide services to our customers," said Johnson .
Copart, founded in 1982, provides vehicle sellers with a full range of remarketing services recovery process and sell vehicles as clean and dismantlers, rebuilt, exporters and, in some states, to end users. Copart ReMarket vehicles through Internet sales by using its own technology VB2. Copart sells vehicles on behalf of insurance companies, banks, finance companies, fleet operators, dealers, car dealers, the general public and others. The company currently operates 147 facilities in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Salvage vehicles are considered as vehicles damaged, a total loss for insurance or business purposes or are recovered stolen vehicles for which an insurance settlement with the vehicle owner has already been done.
