Effective 30 January 2009, AmeriChoice by UnitedHealthcare members will be able to receive services to all children in parts of Connecticut State. Connecticut Children's is ranked among the best children's hospitals in 2008 by U.S. News and World Report.
"Children of Connecticut is one of the most comprehensive and prestigious medical systems in the United States," said Don Langer, president of AmeriChoice by UnitedHealthcare in Connecticut. "Our HUSKY members will have access to the full range of Connecticut Children's services provides. "

Health plan participants will have access to more than 100 physicians and specialists affiliated with Connecticut Children's. The hospital joins a list of 23 Connecticut hospitals and other health facilities and over 4300 doctors who have recently signed with AmeriChoice.
AmeriChoice by UnitedHealthcare serves Connecticut's Charter Oak and HUSKY health care programs.
