There may be an increase in travel insurance enquiries concerning trips to Poland over the next few weeks.

According to Polska - the country's tourism body - Warsaw is hosting the six-week Mozart Festival - now in its 19th year.

The event was first launched in 1991 to mark the 200th anniversary of the composer's death.

Visitors to the city should plan to see the Warsaw Chamber Opera, which is celebrating Mozart's life through his music.

A number of concerts will take place around the city, including at the Royal Castle, the Seminary Church and the Lazienki Park.

"Warsaw is a great city for opera and classical music and has some terrific venues," explained Polish National Tourist Office acting director Ewa Binkin - who added Poles love their history and are keen to share it with tourists.

She also pointed out the country is preparing to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Frederic Chopin's birth next year.

Meanwhile, the sixth Festival of Rhythm and Fire is set to take place in Gdynia from August 5th until 9th.ADNFCR-1320-ID-19219703-ADNFCR
