Education
Bachelors degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business.

Skills
Qualified applicants will possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to travel to US and Canadian branches (up to 10% travel required); must be a self starter, with a strong work ethic, business acumen, and a high degree of motivation. Ability to effectively: evaluate business processes/risks/controls, work within team or individual environments, learn company and department specific applications/software (ACL, Auditor Assistant, Visio), and interact with various management levels. Demonstrate initiative, creative thinking, sound reasoning, and analytical skills. Prioritize projects to meet deadlines. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Zero to two years of relevant experience preferred.

Job Description
Perform audits and process improvement reviews of financial, operational and regulatory compliance processes, including in the following areas: underwriting, claims, operations services, administrative services, accounting/finance, investments, actuarial, tax, and treasury. Identify internal control deficiencies, obtain adequate and relevant documentation to substantiate audit conclusions and make appropriate recommendations to improve controls. Effectively communicate issues in a clear, concise manner in reports and presentations.
