Lobbyist: 50,000 Insurance Employees Recruited for Healthcare Debate

Back in the United States, the insurance industrys chief lobbying group has admitted its recruited tens of thousands of insurance company employees to pressure lawmakers on healthcare reform. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, a spokesperson for Americas Health Insurance Plans said around 50,000 insurance employees have been involved in writing letters and making phone calls to politicians or attending town hall meetings.
